PRO FC will be held on Sunday July 29th in it’s permanent home of Taiwan.
The event has had great success over the past year – really growing and expanding to include more and more international talent.
July 29 is a show that once again will feature huge international talent.
10 fights – 20 competitors – 1 night
Headlining fights will no doubt be Nick LeConte Vs Brad Terrey and JJ Ambrose Vs Dong Sun Choi
Here’s what Royal (owner and operator of PRO) had to say about these two match up’s:
Nick LeConte was set to headline the event, fighting in Taiwan for the first time since his 2009 victory by way of kimura over Zhong Rei Fong. Leconte, who trains with South Korea’s Team Posse, was originally scheduled to face Ultimate Fighter season six cast member Dorian Price, who will now be replaced by undefeated 3-0 up and comer Brad Terrey of Australia and fighting out of Phuket Top Team. LeConte is an accomplished ground specialist whose record of 1-1 belies his enormous talent, having been handed a controversial split decision loss to Ole Laursen in Singapore. Terrey will prove to be a formidable challenge for LeConte & it really is anybody’s fight.
A surprise co-headliner for the event sees former Cage of Fire welterweight champ & current Bellator veteran JJ Ambrose fighting out of Phuket Top Team (17-4) face off against (6-4) korean MMA veteran Dong Sun Choi. Choi has agreed to replace Jung Hwang Cha on short notice as Cha for unspecified reasons was forced to pullout of competition. Cha has fought the likes of The Stun Gun, Dong Hyun Kim & other UFC veteran, George Sotiropolis.
Stay tuned for this exciting event – FSA will report full results as they happen.
