For those who didn’t catch the first time Penek and Sagetdao met, take a look at the match (as filmed by Daniel Fletcher of FSA)
The fight was a close fought tussle, with Penek showing he is the much more technical fighter – while Sagetdao used his strength (and considerably larger size & weight) to throw Penek around in the clinch in rounds 4 and 5.
We are under the impression from Numnoi (head trainer at Sing Patong/Sit Numnoi) that this fight might take place at a catch weight, therefore taking away some of the size advantage for Sagetdao.
We are expecting another great fight – and like the last event in Phattalung, we can expect 10,000 + people!
Phattalung is the home town of Penek, and its no secret that they would love to see the boy take this re-match over Sagetdao.
Also on the card is Damien Alamos – the Frenchman who currently holds the Lumpinee Lightweight title.
Damien Alamos will take on Noppakrit Kor Kompanart. Noppakrit is a strong and dangerous high ranked lumpinee fighter – who will be likely stepping up in weight to take on Alamos.
This event should be a blast and FSA will be on tow for all the video action.
We will leave you with a short interview we did with Penek some months ago.
