The Mike’s Gym fighter with Surinamese blood has only one modus operandi in the ring; kill-or-be-killed. His aggressive warrior’s nature dictates that either his heavy shots land and put his man out, or he suffers some form of lapse, be it in concentration or simply in being taken out of his comfort zone and put on his back.
But that’s what makes him the warrior he is.
Manhoef will compete at Road FC 9: Beatdown on September 15, against the stocky Kim Jae Young (15-9). He is facing a man from The Land of the Morning Calm, but there will still be supporters of the Dutchman present, as he is still famous in the region from his K-1 exploits in Japan.
