I think it’s very fair to say that Bellator Fighting Championship is the no.2 MMA organisation in the world.
Bellator has had a rapid rise in popularity, fighting talent and recognition via MTV and Spike TV.
The Bellator roster includes names like Eddie Alvarez, Ben Askren, King Mo Lawal, Paul Daley, War Machine, Pat Curran, Patricio Pitbull, Marius Zaromskis, Alexander Schlemenko, Marlon Sandro, Eduardo Dantas, Pat Curran, Patricio & Patricky Pitbull, Marlon Sandro, Joe Warren, Michael Chandler, Karl Amoussou and so many more.
The tournament structure is ruthless, the entertainment value is high.
While we sadly don’t see much in the way of an Asian based roster – what we do have via Asia, is two Bellator fighters living and training full time in Thailand.
Welterweight prospect and contender J.J. Ambrose (18-4) is looking for a November return to Bellator and a journey towards the Welterweight title.
Joining J.J. Ambrose is Bantamweight prospect and contender Anthony Leone (11-5) who is also on the road to a Bellator title.
Both of these fighters are training, living and fighting out of Thailand via Phuket Top Team MMA Training Camp.
“Living and training here in Phuket is amazing, the training is world class and our team at PTT is so strong. I think we can expect to bring home title is 2012 and 2013, with fighters in Legend FC, One FC, Road FC and of course JJ and myself in Bellator” – Anthony Leone
Lets take a look at some Highlight footage of these two fighters
You can follow these guys Blogs at SuperJJAmbrose.com and LeoneMMA.com to see and read about there training and preparation as they base themselves in the Asian MMA community.
