For now,let us bask in the glory of a fighter who was once seen as a fallen soldier, a man who most (you know who you are) has written of.
Well the NYBA (the new NYBA) the more humbled, the fitter, the New NYBA who wants something out of the sport of MMA before he hangs up the gloves…
This NYBA gave fans a One FC ‘Pride Of A Nation’ a taste of the Baroni so many fans had hugged the nuts of in the past (UFC/ Dave Menne/ crazy knockout ‘best eva’ era)
Lets take a look at the breakdown before and then during this fight….
So AKA (American Kickboxing Academy) was picked up for a great new reality tv show “Fight Factory” and this also coincided with Phil Baroni joining the squad and being accepted by the AKA team.
Baroni has appeared very humbled and newly rejuvenated — Lets take a look at a slice of Baroni on the ‘Fight Factory’ show (as he leads up to and prepares for his fights)

We then saw the ONE FC weigh in’s and a fired up NYBA dropping some choice words on Ximbica at the weigh ins

Let’s also not forget Ximbica is a very legit fighter, Ximbica is a 3rd degree black belt and a MMA fighter under the huge team at Evolve.
No one knew what to expect of Baroni… he is always confident, he always says he is ready to knock someone’s head off – but only Phil (and maybe Javier/AKA) really know how he is and where he is at physically and mentally.
The fight is what shows the results… and at One FC in Manila – Baroni gave the fans some vintage ‘Best Eva’ performance, BLASTING his opponent in under a minute and using the ONE FC rules to soccer kick and then ground and pound his opponent into a KO victory…
Haters… keep hating – but know this…. you never looked that good post vicious knockout ;)
