The Principle of Reversibilty: ‘If you don’t use it you lose it!’

evo

The Bad News :(

Reversibilty occurs within a relatively short time period after a Combat Athlete ceases to train. In fact, a staggering 30-40% of muscular endurance can be lost during an 8 week time period!

Some Better News ;)

Only about 10% of strength is lost 8 weeks after training stops.

Excellent News :)

Sport skills are retained for much longer periods of time. A skill learned well and therefore stored in the long-term memory is never forgotten.

Next week we conclude the Sports Training Principles’ series by discussing ‘Tedium’!
