An unusually negative piece of news from FSA today. Shame; good news is more fun.
The HUGE rematch between 2011 Fighter of the Year and then-unbeaten Lumpinee champion Sam-A (11-0 was his eventual streak in the Lumpinee and Rajadamnern stadiums) and 2012 Sportswriters of Thailand Fighter of the Year & Lumpinee featherweight champion Penek that was set for the October 4th super-show at Bangkok’s Rajadamnern Stadium has now been cancelled.
Penek’s Singpatong team-mate Damien Alamos is also off the card; his fight nixed.
Sagetdao, former Lumpinee Stadium lightweight champion with wins over every top fighter in the game, was set to continue his amazingly mixed winning/losing streak in what has been a storied 2012 for the big man. But he has also been pulled from the card, for unknown reasons.
The main attractions on the card are the Singdam/Saenchai rematch; the great p4p wizard of the ring was just toppled by Singdam, and will look to avenge it with immediate effect. Somluk (also Anglicised as Somrak) returns from retirement and will fight Wunpadej in a money bet fight worth, it is rumoured, 250,000 baht.
Stay tuned for more news on this card as it emerges; hopefully good news, from now on.
