Lion Fight 10 went down last night in Las Vegas, with a few expected results mixed in with a couple eyebrow-raising surprises.
In the main event of the evening, Yodsanklai Fairtex put on a dominant performance against American Chike Lindsay. While Lindsay, who has defeated the likes of Somrak Kamsing and Cyrus Wasahington, looked very solid in the opening round, Yosanklai gradually turned up the heat until the American simply wasn’t able to keep up. With this win, Yodsanklai moves to 7-0, and remains undefeated since 2012.
Also on the card, hometown favorite Kevin Ross dropped a decision to Canada’s Matt Embree. While Ross started to come on strong in the middle of the fourth round and took over in the fifth, Embree easily won the three opening rounds and the decision victory. With this victory Matt Embree establishes himself as the best 145 pound nak muay in North America.
The experienced Lucy Payne squared off against Lion Fight women’s champion tiffany Van Soest in a fight many predicted would swing in Payne’s favor. What we got instead was a crushing TKO win for Van Soest midway through the first round. Payne seemed uncomfortable from the opening bell, a fact “Timebomb” took advantage of and exploited.
