With Hyun Gyu Lim penciled in to face Tarec Saffiedine in the Main event at UFC Fight Night 34.

Kiichi Kunimoto would need an opponent. The call was made and TUF: Brazil alumni Luiz Dutra Jr. answered. Both men are set to square off in their promotional debut when the UFC touches down in Singapore for the first time.

Sources close to the situation confirmed the match-up with FSA.

Dutra (11-2) made his mark on the Brazilian MMA circuit before trying out for season two of TUF: Brazil.

Luiz would make an immediate impact on the show, in fact Team Nogueira chose Dutra as their first round overall pick, and from there he would go onto defeat Team Werdum’s first round pick Pedro Irie via Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) in the first round.

Unfortunately his run was cut short due to a torn ligament in his hand, forcing him to sit out for the rest of the season.

Luiz is currently on a 4-fight win streak, and hasn’t tasted defeat since September 2008 when his bout with Paulo Thiago was called to a halt due to a knee injury.

This will be his first fight back since his win over fellow countrymen Pedro Irie on the reality show.

Kunimoto (15-5-2) will look to make a statement in Southeast Asia.

The former HEAT Welterweight champion was scheduled to face Hyun Gyu Lim, but now turns his attention to a new challenge when he faces off against the Renovacao Fight Team product, Dutra.

Kiichi competed most of his career for Japanese giants Pancrase before moving onto Heat, where he would run through his competition to claim their Welterweight strap.

Since coming up short against Takenori Sato in 2012, Kiichi has won his last four outings finishing three of those by way of Submission.

Most recently he defended his Welterweight title against former UFC fighter Edward Faaloloto this past July defeating his foe via Submission (Armbar) in just two minutes into the first round.

Here’s how the card now looks:

Tarec Saffiedine vs. Hyun Gyu Lim
Tatsuya Kawajiri vs. Hacran Dias
Kiichi Kunimoto vs. Luiz Dutra Jr.
Kyung Ho Kang vs. Shunichi Shimizu
Katsunori Kikuno vs. Quinn Mulhern
Dustin Kimura vs. Jon delos Reyes
Max Holloway vs. Will Chope
Dave Galera vs. Royston Wee
